Free Practice 1

FP1 is the team's first look at the circuit. Engineers focus on aerodynamic setup, ride height, and baseline balance rather than lap times. Many drivers complete short, exploratory stints across multiple tyre compounds to build a tyre temperature and degradation baseline. Lap times are largely irrelevant — fuel loads vary, setups are experimental, and the track is at its slowest (green surface, low rubber). Treat these times as directional only.
