FP2 is the most data-rich session of the weekend. Teams run long stints on representative fuel loads to simulate race conditions — this is where real tyre degradation rates, race pace, and pit stop windows are established. The final portion often includes a qualifying simulation to set a benchmark for tomorrow. This is the primary session used by our race simulation and tyre strategy models.
