Sky Extends F1 Partnership Into Next Decade
Formula 1 and Sky Sports have announced a multi-year agreement that extends the broadcaster's exclusive rights across multiple regions. According to Sky Sports F1, Sky will remain the exclusive home of Formula 1 in the UK and Ireland until 2034 following a five-year extension to the existing partnership.
Regional Coverage Expansion
The agreement covers three distinct markets. According to Autosport, Sky Sports will continue to show the championship until at least 2034 in the UK and Ireland, while the Italian broadcast deal runs through to the 2032 campaign. Formula1.com reported that the partnership gives Sky Sports viewers in all three regions exclusive access to every Formula 1 race weekend into the next decade.
Long-Standing Partnership
The extension builds on Sky's established position in F1 broadcasting. According to The Race, Sky Sports has extended its deal with Formula 1 to show the championship in the UK through the 2034 season, underscoring the broadcaster's commitment to comprehensive coverage of the sport's calendar.
